Filter Bags

Filter bags are great for putting things like activated carbon or Phosguard type phosphate remover into your aquarium.

These bags are easy to purchase most pet supply companies. It's nice to have a few one hand of for changing out your chemicals in the filter bags.

We keep a bag of activated carbon in the sump of all of our systems. We place them in a low flow area, so that we don't get a rapid change in the chemistry of the water.

Filter bags can be used for just about any media that needs to be submerged for a long time, in your aquarium.
